Sorry, we had already closed registration by the time we saw your posting. Next time, it would be quicker to write to us directly at; training@sextonsecurity.com. We post our classes 3 to 5 months in advance, so hopefully we will see you in the next one.

Thanks a lot Jerry. It's taken a lot of hard work and sacrifices to be here today, but I wouldn't have it any other way. Hope you guys are all well out West!

Thank you very much for the praise. I started writing white papers and later began this blog to give people information and keep them informed on matters involving security. I have been involved in the field of security - Government, NGO and Private for over 30 years now, both in the U.S. and abroad, so I have a fairly well-rounded knowledge of many aspects of security. I firmly believe that knowledge is power and I am quite happy to share. My only hinderance is time - not ever having enough!

Dear Valerie,

Our office will be e-mailing you more information as you requested. In addition, if you keep an eye on our training calendar, you'll be able to see the dates of courses coming up. Sometime we may have a number of people who get together and request a class to be held sooner than advertised. We are glad to do this and only need to give the Department of Criminal Justice Services (because we are a State certified training academy) 7 days notice of our intention to hold a training class. If we do this, we will notify you and others who may have requested to be notified when the next class is being held and we will also post it on out website's training calendar.

Don't worry about pressuring you to attend training. That has never been, nor will it ever be our policy. You can ask any of the many people who have voluntarily provided us with their testimonial about that. People who come to our trainings, do so because they have made the decision based on their own research.

By clientele, I am not sure if you mean the student or the person who hires us to protect them. The answer to both is through various means. We use and teach guerilla marketing, social media methods, networking, etc.

Most assume unfortunately that police are trained and the key to all problems. They are trained to be reactive meaning if a crime is committed the act on it. Ep specialist if trained properly are looking to act before it happens. Our profession needs more respect
