F.B.I. warns internet users to beware of scams when sending money for Haiti disaster relief

It’s a sad reflection on society when the F.B.I. has to issue an alert warning good samaritans to beware of scams when responding to pleas for help from Haiti, but it needs to be said.

Other great tragedies such as 9/11 and Katrina have taught us that there are those in society who are so bereft of morals that they will prey not only on the generosity of decent people, but also on the grieving victims themselves.

Do your due diligence and be sure that your money is going where it will do the most good and not into some parasite’s pocket.
